Two Factories that Can Provide More than 2,000 Jobs to be Establish by CDC

INTERNATIONAL: The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved investment projects to build two factories, a factory for processing agricultural packaging and a factory for the production of all kinds of tires, with a total investment of more than 300 million dollars and creating more than 2,000 jobs.

Sing He Yi Agriculture Company investment project will establish a factory for processing and packaging of agricultural products for bananas and the banana plantations is located in Trornay village, Nhang commune, Andong Meas district, Ratanakkiri province with an investment capital of $ 6 million and will be able to create 452 jobs and a project to establish a factory for the production of all kinds of tires owned by General Intelligence Company in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville with investment capital about $297 million and create about 1,600 jobs.

Bananas are popular with foreigners, especially in China, which encourages more cultivation, especially yellow bananas. Most yellow bananas are exported to China, with the exception of Vietnam and Japan. Today, China has authorized 15 companies to invest in Cambodia's yellow bananas to officially export bananas to the Chinese market.

In particular, the investment project to build a new tire factory will be the second company to invest in producing all kinds of tires in Cambodia, after Cart Tire Company , located in the economic zone of Svay Rieng, which is in already in production. Tires are gradually being exported to neighboring markets, with the United States and the European Union being the main export markets.
